San Francisco is one of my favorite cities in the US, it has a lot of culture, historic landmarks and atmosphere that makes it a photogenic city for photography. Below shot is taken while ago during a trip to the city for the Coit Tower built in 1933, its architectural style follows the art deco design style. There are nice murals inside painted by different artists.
I was reading today about Evolution Theory and ironically I found a photo I took while ago in San Francisco. After searching in the web for the mural story and by chance I discovered that it depicts the evolution theory! if you look closer into the rainbow colors you will see the animal drawings. The rainbow color represents different phases of the evolution. When I took this picture I never paid attention or even thought of it I just liked the rainbow colors and the man sitting on the side, my self interpretation was the mural is to represents gays community (which I found it nicely put in that area). I took multiple exposures then created the HDR version and fine tuned it in Photoshop. Click on the image to view full size.
Below is another Mural I liked by Lango in Masonic street. Multiple exposures then processed as HDR. Click on the image to view full size.
If you are into HDR photography or street photography, Haight-Ashbury district is full of ready to shoot scenes. I took a shot for the Red Victorian Hotel. The hotel is built in 1904 and it was in the center of hippies movement in 60s. Now it attracts people who care about green planet and to each other, on the ground level it includes museum and the peace cafe. I took multiple exposure brackets and processed it as HDR.
