Farmers Market in Black and White and Oranges Baskets

I went to the Farmers Market in Irvine last weekend but it was almost going to close so I only photo shoot couple of pictures. I converted some of them to black and white as I wanted to focus on the authenticity of market without the noise of colors. I’m still learning the true white and black processing but in those pictures I just applied basic processing through the color channels in Photoshop Elements standard black and white conversion then applied vintage effect.I liked those fiber (reed) baskets and was lucky to take pictures for them before the seller start wrapping up them and go.

I also saw this orange basket and I liked the contrast between the orange color and the basket.

Before I leave I was taking some rest in a shopping area near the market (University Center), I looked up at a building and I liked the windows with the clouds in the sky and I thought it worth capturing, I was lazy to move to get better composition so I shoot it while I was sitting on a bench, I think its not that bad.

Cupcakes and Other Stuff

Cups in La JollaSan Diego is an organic cupcakery offers one of the best cupcakes I’v tried so far. The place is nice and the shop has a nice lounge facing one of the La Jolla Village streets. We ordered  Brûlée-J and it was so delicious that we ordered twice!, also the late is great. The service there is wonderful and the place is quite and has organic peace atmosphere. I took some various pictures for the place and for my daughter enjoying the cupcake and the place. Click on the image to open the slideshow. I converted some pictures to black and white since I like mono urban pictures.

More Close up!

My prime lens getting me busy looking for anything in the house for a close up candidate, sounds crazy but I’m really happy with the lens performance and its wide aperture (F1.8). I took below shots handheld for a Thyme, Flax seeds, M&M’s and then found some souvenirs in the living room and captured them. Click on the image to view
